What metals do you buy?

We buy a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including steel, iron, copper, brass, aluminium, stainless steel, lead, and cable. View our full list on the What We Buy page.

Do you take old vehicles?

Yes! We're an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) for End of Life Vehicles (ELVs). We'll de-register it properly and provide a DVLA Certificate of Destruction.

Do I need ID to sell scrap?

Yes. It's a legal requirement under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013. We accept valid photo ID such as a UK driving licence or passport, along with proof of address.

Do you pay cash?

No. All payments are made by bank transfer or cheque. This is also a legal requirement for scrap transactions in the UK.

Do you offer skip hire or site clearances?

Yes – we provide skips and collection for farms, factories, trades and demolition sites. Just give us a call to book a collection or get a quote.

Where are you based?

Our yard is located in Carlton Miniott, just outside Thirsk. You can find directions and our map on the Contact Us page.

What are your opening hours?

We're open Monday–Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, and Saturday 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM. We're closed Sundays and bank holiday weekends.

Do you collect scrap from homes or businesses?

Yes. We can arrange collections for larger loads. Contact us for availability and pricing.

Can you price over the phone?

We can give guide prices, but exact values depend on the weight and grade of the metal brought in. Prices change daily based on market rates.

Do you accept catalytic converters?

Yes – we buy catalytic converters at competitive prices. Bring yours in for assessment.
